Crumley, well known resident of Colbert, died in a local hospital Sunday morning at 8:00 o'clock. Mr. Crumley was 63 years old and was ill for only one day. Services were conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock from Colbert Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. William F. Crowe, officiating. Burial followed in Murray Cemetery, Bridges Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Nephews of Mr. Crumley served as pallbearers. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Sorrow Crumley, Colbert, four daughters; Mrs. Doyle Draper, Athens, Misses Margaret, Lois and Barbara Ann Crumley, all of Colbert; four sons, Ralph, John, James and G.L. Crumley, all of Colbert., two sisters, Mrs. Will Lloyd, Athens, and Miss Lou Crumley, Royston. A native of White County, Ga., Mr. Crumley had been a resident of Colbert for the past thirty ___ years. He was a verteran of World War One and was widely known throughout this section, where he operated extensive farming interests. Note from submitter: I submitted this to the Habersham County site because J.F. (James Franklin "Frank") was the grandson Leander F. Crumley and Nancy Jackson Crumley whose families originated in Habersham County before it was split to make White County. In the Letters of Leander F. Crumley, Habersham is referred to quite often..
