WATER, LIGHT AND SINKING FUND COMMISSION

 The City of Dalton voted bonds for $30,000 on November 13, 1886, for the
purpose of building a water system for the City. The contract was let April 11,
1888. Fred Cappes was the Mayor.

  The first commissioners of the Water, Light and Sinking Fund Commission were
J. R. McAfee, John Townley, George W. Hamilton. The following men have served
the city as commissioners:
