Mr. P. H. Coffee died at his home at this place on Wednesday, 20th inst. He had been confined to his room for the past several months, and his death while not unexpected, was a shock to his many friends. Mr. Coffee was born in Belfair (now Dodge) county sixty-one years ago, and has since been a resident of this place. He was a public spirited citizen always taking an active part in anything for the up building of his town. He was a consistent member of the Methodist church, also of the Masons. Funeral exercises were held at the residence on Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. P. Chatfield, after which the remains were carried to the cemetery, and there interred with Masonic honors. Mr. Coffee left a wife and two children to mourn his loss. Truly a good man has gone to his reward. To the bereaved ones we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
