Holliday of Rochelle dies Thursday, Feb. 9. Mr. Thomas A. Holliday, age 78, of Rt 2, Rochelle, died Thursday, February 9, 1989in the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Holliday was a native of Wilcox County. He was a member of the Rochelle First Baptist Church, the Rochelle Masonic Lodge #190 since 1945, the Men’s Bible Class at the Rochelle First Baptist Church, the Wilcox Board of Education for 26 years, the Georgia Sheriff’s Association, the board of Directors of Cordele Production Credit Association for 21 years, the Wilcox Farm Bureau and the Georgia Cattleman’s Association. He also was a farmer. Survivors include wife, Lois C. Holliday of Rochelle; two sons Bobby Holliday Sr. of Rochelle and Cook Holliday of Winder; two daughters Margaret H. Pearce of Rochelle and Mary H. Paulk of Sylvester, and seven grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Foxworth and Morris B. Davis officiating. Frazier & Son Funeral Home in Rochelle had charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Bobby Holliday, Jr., Mallard Holliday, Dr. Joel Morgan, George Pope, Franklin Nessler, Robert Earl Lee and Mike Copeland. Honorary pallbearers were the Board of Directors and Officers of the Cordele Production Credit Association, the Men’s Bible Class, the Masons, Jerry Rhodes and Don Wood. Burial was in the Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle with Masonic rites.
