Mr. Doster was one of the oldest citizens of the county, being in the 77th year of his age at the time of his death. He was the father of Messrs. Andrew J. and John P. Doster, Mrs. M. E. McAnally, Mrs. T. H. Wooten and Mrs. Geo. D. Mashburn, and the grandfather of Dr. J. P. Doster, our popular young dentist. The remains were interred on Sunday at Cedar Creek church with masonic honors by Abbeville and Pineview lodges. Additional Comments: Philetus B. Doster was born 12 October 1818 in Jones Co., GA to Stephen Wilson Doster and Susan (Childs) Doster. He married Christian McLeod on 29 January 1840.
