M. Fountain Mrs. Artie Moore Fountain of Pitts died Thursday night in the Crisp County Hospital. Mrs. Fountain, a native of Gwinnett County, resided in Wilcox County most of her life. She was a member of the Pitts Methodist church. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Ruth Tompkins of Coleman, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday at Union Baptist church. The rites were conducted by Rev. Johnny Deas, Rev. Jack Dowdy and Rev. Royce Adkinson. Pallbearers were James Faircloth, Emerson Turk, D. E. Turk, Tommy Sanders and Lon Wood. Burial was in the Union Cemetery. Frazier and Son Funeral Home, Abbeville, was in charge of arrangements Additional Comments: Artie was the daughter of George Henry Moore and Americus Minerva (Verner) Moore. She married James Tommie Fountain on 2 November 1913.
