Futch, 85, of Route 1 Abbeville, died Feb. 15 in Taylor Memorial Hospital. A native of Wilcox County, she was the daughter f the late Dan and Elizabeth Dozier Cook. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and was the widow of W. I. Futch. Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. H. H. Hutchinson, Tifton, Mrs. Irene Coble and Mrs. J. C. Cook, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sons, Raymond Futch, Abbeville, and J. P. Futch, Rochelle; one brother, George Cook, Hawkinsville; 32 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Feb. 17 at Cedar Creek Church with the Rev. I. R. Hobby, the Rev. Seaborn Winn and the Rev. Napp Granade officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers. They were W. O. Futch, Norman Futch, Wendell Coble, Edwin Coble, Jason Murphy and David Nichols. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Graham, Bryan Graham, P. E. Doster Jr., P. E. Doster Sr., Statham Helms, N. M. Cohen and Ed Mullis. Interment was in Cedar Creek Cemetery with jamerson Funeral Home in charge. Additional Comments: Alice was born 26 February 1875. She first married Zallie Jackson and then William Isaac Futch on 10 October 1909 in Wilcox Co., GA.
