Leonard D. Olds
Died Wednesday;
Buried on Friday
     Leonard D. Olds, 73, of Rt. 4, Abbeville, died Wednesday.
     Born in Pitts, Ga., son of the late William Calvin [sic] and Elizabeth 
Clore [sic; should be Clower] Olds, he was a retired carpenter, and a member 
of Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church.
     Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Sutherland Olds; two sons, J. D. and 
Leon [sic; Deon?] Olds of Omega, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
     Funeral services weer [sic; should be were] held Friday at Harris Funeral 
Home, with burial in Long Cane Cemetery.




Additional Comments:
"Bernie/Vernie" was born 7 Oct. 1892/3 in Gwinnett Co., GA to Lucious Willie 
Olds and Frances Elizabeth (Clower) Olds.  His parents moved the family to 
Pitts, Wilcox Co. between 1901 and 1903.  Bernie's first wife was Sue Taylor.
