     North Charleston, S.C. - Funeral services for Louise Teagle Sewell were 
held Sunday at 3 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr North Area Chapel.  Interment followed 
in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
     A native of Wilcox County, Mrs. Sewell was the 71-year-old widow of 
Lawrence Preston Sewell.
     Survivors include five sons, Willie P. Sewell of Goose Creek, S.C., 
Norman L. Sewell of Berkeley Co., S.C., Robert L. Sewell and Johnny N. Sewell, 
both of North Charleston, and Brendel W. Sewell of Sanford, Fla.; a daughter, 
Shirley Mae Tonner of Buffalo, N.Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Emmery [sic; Emmie] 
Turk of Pitts, Bertie Mae Stewart of Pineview and Lora Goodwin of Brunswick; a 
brother, Herman Teagle of Phoenix City, Ala.; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-
grandchildren.
     J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Emory Louise Sewell was a daughter of Nathaniel Lee Teagle, Jr. and Sadie 
Elizabeth (Olds) Teagle.  She was born 24 April 1915 in Pitts, Wilcox Co., GA 
and married Lawrence Preston Sewell on 20 August 1932.
