W. T. Teagle, 89, Dies; Rites Held
     PITTS - Funeral services for William Thomas Teagle, 89, who died at his 
home on Route 2 Pitts Monday, were to be held today at 4 p. m. at Pitts 
Baptist Church.
     Rev. M. J. Bennett and Rev. Fred Carter were to officiate with burial in 
Pitts Cemetery.
     Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lavada Teagle; two daughters, Mrs. 
Obeda Whittle of Albany and Mrs. Arena Land of Pitts; 2 sons, Otis Teagle, 
Atlanta and Alfonso Teagle of Miami; one brother, J. S. Teagle of Miami; one 
sister, Mrs. J. H. Braziel of Pitts; 10 grandchildren, eight great 
grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren, several nieces and 
nephews.  

Additional Comments:
William Thomas Teagle was born on 25 December 1872 in Gwinnett Co., GA, the 
son of Nathaniel Lee Teagle, Sr. and Syntha Elizabeth (Hannah) Teagle.  He 
married Martha Ophelia Bradford, on 19 October 1890 in Gwinnett Co., GA.  
After her death, he married Luevada Lowery on 16 August 1925 in Hamilton Co., 
FL.
