L. Teagle, 70, Dies Last Week; Rites are Held Funeral services for Nathaniel L. Teagle, 70, of Route 1, Pitts were conducted last Saturday at 9 p.m. at the Pitts Church of God with the Rev. Earl Powell and the Rev. Arthur Faircloth officiating. Mr. Teagle was a native of Gwinnett County, the son of Nathaniel and Cynthia [sic---should be Syntha] H. Teagle, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Pitts Church of God. He died March 3 in Ben Hill County Hospital following an illness of three weeks. Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Howell McLemore; four daughters, Mrs. Emmie Turk, Pitts, Mrs. Bertie Mae Stewart, Pineview, Mrs. Louis Sewell, Charleston, S.C., and Mrs. Lora Goodwin of Brunswick; two sons, Herman Teagle, of Phoenix City, Ala., and E. D. McLemore, Plant City, Fla., two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Braziel, Pitts, and Mrs. Myrtis Maffett, Atlanta; two brothers, W. T. Teagle, Pitts, and J. S. Teagle of Miami, Fla.; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ralph Titshaw, R. F. Brantley, L. O. Peebles, H. K. Arant, Willie Fitzgerald and Morris Turk. Burial was in Pitts Cemetery with Jamerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
