Mrs. N. E. Turk 
Dies at Age 86
     Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Turk, 86, of Pitts, died Sunday in Crisp County 
Hospital.
     Mrs. Turk, a native of Gwinnett County, was a member of Pitts Baptist 
church.
     Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Clara Brunson of Albany, Mrs. Sara 
Maynard of Victoria, Texas, Mrs. Ellen Elkins of Decatur and Mrs. Ethelene 
Perkins of Wrightsville; four sons, D. E. Turk of Abbeville, Emerson Turk and 
G. E. Turk, both of Pitts, and Clifton Turk of Perry; two sisters, Mrs. J. T. 
Fountain of Pitts and Mrs. G. B. Tumpkins [sic; should be Tompkins] of 
Coleman, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held Tuesday at Pitts Baptist church with Rev. U. 
W. Rollins and Rev. Jack Dowdy officiating.
     Burial was in Pitts Cemetery.
     Frazier and Son Funeral Home, Abbeville, ws in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Nancy Elizabeth Moore was born 13 November 1884 in Gwinnett Co., GA, the 
daughter of George Henry Moore and Americus Minerva (Verner) Moore.  She 
married Charles Baxter Turk on 26 December 1906 in Wilcox Co., GA.
