Statham who was born June 30, 1808. Parted this life Nov 25 1875. Headstone placed her by her son-in- law Mr. HK Anderson, Nov 9, 1880. Additional Comments: Sarah Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) was the wife of Thompson (not Thomas) Nathaniel Statham, whose tombstone is marked TN Statham (photo at these archives). Sarah was the daughter of John and Rebecca (Adams) Fitzgerald, who are reportedly also buried at Stubbs cemetery though their gravemarkers have not survived. John Fitzgerald's family migrated to Georgia from Ireland in about 1765. He and his family were living in Burke County when he drew Lot #200 in what was then Irwin County in the 1820 land lottery, and they reportedly relocated to Irwin about 1823.
