Wilkes Co. GA - Addition to Rehoboth Baptist Church Inscriptions From: Louise Fletcher TigerL333@aol.com David, Hi, my name is Louise Antoinette Fletcher. I am the ggrand daughter of J.B. Roberts listed in these inscriptions. There are 2 grave sites to the right of J.B. Roberts that are unmarked. To the immediate right of his headstone is Talulah ( Lula) Antionette Ware Roberts and to the right of her is J.B.'s unmarried sister Victoria Elizabeth Roberts. ( underlined/same name different spelling on my birth certificate). Great grandmother and my great aunt were killed in the major hurricane that hit Florida in 1926 and were returned to Georgia for burial. My grandmother was 15 and the only child at the time (her brother and sister had died in some type of epidemic a few years earlier) and did not have the graves marked. The Edgar E. Roberts that is listed is the brother of J.B. Roberts. I hope to have the two graves marked in the near future as it disturbs me that very few people know they are there. I learned about this when I started trying to find the Roberts' side of my family. My grandmother is now 89 years old and she lost contact with her father's family after her mother was killed. A little over a year ago she told me that before she died she would like to know what happened to them. I have been looking for a connection for almost a year with no luck. Thanks for the time and work you have invested to make this site available. I knew about the two unmarked graves but not that J.B's brother was Edgar. Granny told me that J.B. had a brother there after my last visit to the cemetery. After I saw your list, I called Granny and asked if Edgar rang a bell and it did. She said Uncle Edgar died before she was born which is right. I do not have documented proof of this information, just family history so I do not know if you can add the two names but it would be nice to know that they will not be forgotten. My only doubt is whether Victoria Elizabeth is correct. Granny said it could be Elizabeth Victoria. She called her Aunt Vicky and did not remember the order of the names. Thanks for the help and please keep up the good work. I will continue with my search and hopefully be successful before Granny passes away.
