Go approximately 9 miles from the town square to Sandy Cross Road and take a left. Go 1.8 miles to Quaker Springs Road and take a left. The cemetery is 100 yards up Quaker Springs Road on the left. There is one main marker erected by W.W. Simpson in 1886. The front face of the marker faces north and has the single inscription, SIMPSON. Simpson Born March 28, 1778 Died December 29, 1838 Martha Wingfield Simpson Born Sept. 3, 1792 Died April 5, 1838 Francis Amanda Simpson Born Aug. 25, 1812 Died Nov. 22, 1887 William Wingfield Simpson Born May 15, 1814 Died Sept. 27, 1887 John Archibald Simpson Born Sept. 19, 1816 Died March 12, 1817 On the left face are the following inscriptions: David Butler Simpson Born Dec. 7, 1817 James Overton Simpson Born Sept. 9, 1820 Died Oct. 1, 1822 Archibald Garland Simpson Born May 6, 1822 Died July 2, 1887 Infant Born March 20, 1824 Died March 23, 1824 Mary Catherine Simpson Born Nov. 13, 1825 Erected by W. W. Simpson, 1886 On the right face are the following inscriptions: Sarah Ann Simpson Born Nov. 2, 1827 Died May 5, 1828 Elizabeth Louisa Simpson Born April 15, 1829 Died May 8, 1887 Franklin Troup Simpson Born May 13, 1831 Martha Ann Simpson Born Jan. 4, 1837 Died July 1, 1884 On the left back of the cemetery are two full-length markers with the following inscriptions: Sacred to the memory of Martha Simpson consort of William Simpson who was born Sept 3d 1792 and died April 5th 1838 aged 46 years 7 months and heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me write: blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth yea saith the spirit that they may rest from their labours and works do follow them. Rev. 14 Chap., 13 Vs Sacred to the memory of William Simpson who was born March 28th 1778 and died Dec. 29th 1838 aged 60 years and 9 months There are two graves to the right that have no inscription and appear to be those of children.
