Indenture bet Daniel Brookner & Garrett Oglesby 01 Jan 1818 Wilkes Co, GA

WILKES COUNTY, GEORGIA, DEED BOOK CCC, p. 299

This indenture made January the first, one thousand eight hundred and
eiqhteen (l Jan., 1818) between Daniel Brookner of this said County and
State and Garrett Oglesby of the same County and State.

Witnesseth that the said Daniel Brookner, for and in consideration of
the sum of twelve hundred dollars ($1200) to him in hand paid by the
said Garrett Oglesby, his heirs and administrators or assigns, before
the sealing and delivering of these presents, the rights thereof is
hereby acknowledged by the said Daniel Brookner who has bargained and
sold and confirmed unto the said Garrett Oglesby, his heirs and
assigns, a tract or parcel of land lying on the waters of Pistol Creek
granted to John Jennings containing three hundred and twenty-five (325)
acres be the same more or less, bounded as follows:

Beginning on a black oak running thence north 5 east, 11 chains to a
white oak;  thence north 30 degrees west, 24 chains to a black oak;
thence west, 58 chains to a pine;  thence south 55 degrees east, 20
chains to a post oak;  thence east, 18 chains to a post oak;  thence
north 5 degrees east, 35 chains to a black jack;  thence east, 15
chains to the beginning corner black oak.

Together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances
thereunto belonging, or in any wise appurtaining to the same.

I, the said Daniel Brookner, being the true and lawful owner thereof do
bind myself and (my) heirs to warrant and forever defend the same tract
or parcel of land to the said Garrett Oglesby, his heirs and assigns,
in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand seal the day and date
above written.
