Copied at the Wilkes County Courthouse in Washington, Georgia, September 2006, transcribed by Marshall Styles: Georgia} Wilkes County} This indenture made this seventeenth day of April in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty seven between John O. Colley of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and James M. Dyson of the same place of the other part & Witnesseth that the said John O. Colley for & in consideration of the Sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid at & before the Sealing and delivery of these presents to the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted and sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said James M. Dyson his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County aforesaid on the waters of Fishing Creek, being known as a part of the lands and tract adjoining lands belonging to the said Dyson, Harris, Cox, and others, containing one hundred acres more or less with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereto belonging, To have and to hold the aforesaid described lot of land unto him the said James M. Dyson his heirs & assigns, together with all and singular the rights, members & appurtenances to the said tract of land in any wise appertaining to his & their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said John O. Colley for himself his heirs Executors and administrators the said bargained premises together with the right title & possession thereof unto the said James M. Dyson his heirs & assigns will warrant & forever defend the right title thereof against himself & against the claim of all other persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said John O.
