All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net August 23, 2003, 7:25 pm Written: December 15 1815 Wilkes County, Deed Book BBB, pages 280-281 Georgia Wilkes } This Indenture made this fifteenth day of December one County } thousand eight hundred and fifteen between Richard Cotton and Christopher Hackle both of the County and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Richard Cotton For and in consideration of the sum of Fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Christopher Hackle the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Christopher Hackle his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the aforesaid State and County on the waters of Kettle creek being a part of the tract of land lately purchased of the administrators of John Weaver deceased beginning at a Corner Post oak on said Christopher Hackle’s line and running thence N 55 W 20.75 links to a pine corner on said Hackles line Thence running N 38 E 14.25 links to a black Jack Corner on said Hackles line thence running N 60 W 5.75 links to Post oak Corner on Danile O Shrubtrines line thence running S 35 W 15.70 links to a Lightwood stake Corner on Shruptrines line thence running S 55 E 23.30 links to a lightwood stake Corner thence running N 39 E 1.69 links to the beginning Post oak Corner containing Ten acres To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof and every part thereof belonging or in anywise appertaining thereunto to the said Christopher Hackle his heirs and assigns forever and the said Richard Cotton for and against himself his heirs and assigns forever and all and every other person or persons whatsoever do warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said Richard Cotton hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written signed sealed and delivered in the presence of David Walder (?)
