All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net August 23, 2003, 8:16 pm Assigned To: Israel Wellmaker Written: September 3 1835 Recorded: August 5 1836 Wilkes County, Deed Book MMM, page 470 This Indenture made this the third day of September in the year of our Lord 1835 Between Israel Hindsman of the State of Georgia & County of Wilkes of the one part & Isreal Wellmaker of the State aforesaid & County of Lincoln of the other part Witnesseth that the said Israel Hindsman for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred & fifty Dollars to him in hand paid at or before the sealing & Delivery of thes presents the recipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold & delivered all that Tract or parcel of Land situate lying & being in the county of Wilkes on the waters of Kettle Creek Containing One hundred & sixty acres more or less butting and bounding as follows viz bounded by Lands of Isaac Evans on one side lands of Peter Stroseor on another & by land of the said Hindsman & S Hammock on the other side together with all & singular the wrights members & appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining & all right tittle claim of the said Israel Wellmaker his heirs and assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever containing any rights or tittle unto or out of the same to have & to hold the said Tract of Land with all & singular the premises aforesaid with their rights members & appertinances unto the said Wellmaker his heirs & assigns to him or their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee simple In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written Signed seal & Delivered in presence of us his Elisha Hindsman Israel x Hindsman B R Crosby mark Elias Wellmaker Georgia } Personally appeared before me Elisha Hindsman and after Wilkes County } being duly sworn deposeth and saith on oath that he assigned his name as a witness to the deed and I saw b R Crosby and Elisha Wellmaker assign the same for the contents therein contained Sworn to and subscribed before me this 1th day of April 1830 Elisha Hindsman John Peteet J.
