All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002523 September 7, 2004, 6:26 pm Written: September 14 1798 Recorded: September 28 1798 Wilkes County Deed Book RR, page 106 This Indenture made this fourteenth day of Sept in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight Between William Leverett of the County of Wilkes and State of Georgia of the one part and Abraham Leverett of the said State and the County aforesaid of the other Part Witnesseth that the said William Leverett for and in consideration, is hereby Acknowledged hath given granted released & Confirmed and by these presents doth Acknowledge to give grant release & Confirm unto the said Abraham Leverett his heirs & assigns one Certain Tract of Land Situate lying & being in the County of Greene in the Waters of Harris’s Creek Containing two hundred eighty Seven & half acres and bounded as follows } Commencing (?) at a red oak running No. 35 East on Jesse Sanders line 65 chs 50 lks to a line thence in Burzleys line No. 55 W 44 chs to a Stake near the maple thence on Peter Youngbloods line S 35. W 65. chs. 50 lks to a white oak thence So 55. E. 44. chs. To the beginning with all & Singular the rights and Priviliges hereditments & appertenances to the same belonging. To have and to hold the said land with all and every the rights Profits E____ment advantages Interest to the same belonging to the said Abraham Leverett his heirs and assigns forever as a Clear indefeagable estate in fee simple absolute to all Intents & Purposes can be held possess & or injoyed & I the said William Leverett for myself and my heirs do Covenant and agree to and with the said Abraham Leverett that I will warrant & forever defend the legal right and title in and to the said Land and premises to the said Abraham leveret his heirs against the lawfull Claim or Claims of all and all manner of person, Whatsoever & do further agree that I will make & sign or cause to be made and signed any other _____ Instrument or Instruments that shall be thought _____ for the well authenticating the same In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above Written.
