State of Georgia
   This Indenture made the Sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one 
thousand Seven hundred and ninety five and in the nineteenth year of American 
independence between Giles Harriss and Elisabeth his wif Giles Thompkins and 
Rhoda his wife and Danil Thurman all Legatees of Elisha Thurman deceased of the 
County of Wilkes of the one part and Drury Cade of the same County and State of 
the other part –
Witnesseth that the said Giles Harriss and Elisabeth his wife Giles Thompkins 
and Rhody his wife and Danil all Legatees of Elisha Thurman deceased for and in 
consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds Lawful money of this State to 
them in hand well and truly paid by the said Drury Cade at or before the 
sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt to hereof is thereby 
acknowledged by the said Giles Harris and Elisabeth his Wife Giles Thompkins 
and Rhody his wife and Danil Thurman hiers of Elisha Thurman – deceased have 
granted bargained sold released and confirmed unto the said Drury Cade his 
hiers and assigns all that Tract or parcel of Land Containing Sixty and one 
half Acres of Land in Said County of Wilkes the same being the three part of 
Land which fell to them by the death of Elisha Thurman deceased it being part 
of the Land whereon Hanah Thurman now lives joing Land of Thomas Wootton David 
Thurman Absalam Thurmon together with all and Singular the rights members and 
appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said tract of Land being belonging or 
in anywise appertaining and the remainders reversions rents Issues and profits 
thereof and of every part thereof to have and to hole the same tract of Land 
and all and singular the premises and appertenances thereunto belonging or 
aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Drury Cade his Hiers and assigns 
to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the Drury Cade his heirs and 
assigns forever and the said Giles Harris and Elisabeth his wife Giles 
Thompkins his wife and Danil Thurman Heirs of Elisha Thurman deceased and their 
Heirs the tract of Land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the 
said Drury Cade his hiers assigns against them the said Giles Harris and 
Elisabeth his wife Giles Thompkins and Rhoda his wife and Danil Thurman all 
hiers of Elisha Thurman deceased and their Hiers and all and every other person 
or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these 
presents in witness whereof the said Giles Harriss and Elisabeth his Wife Giles 
Thurman and Danil Thurman hiers of Elisha Thurman deceased have hereunto Set 
heir hands and Seales the day and year first above written ----
