Heard’s Mill Creek-Mill

1795, June 12—This Indenture made between Jeremiah Bently unto Francis Edmonds, 
both of Wilkes County.  For and in consideration of the sum of 50 Pounds 
Sterling, conveyed a tract of land containing 48 acres (& half the mill) lying 
on Heard’s Mill Creek, being part of a tract of land granted to the said 
Jeremiah Bently the 26th day of October 1784.  Beginning at a hickory corner, 
thence S 25 E 13 chains to a hickory corner, thence N 70 W 5 chains to a pine 
corner, thence S 65 W 33 chains & 40 links to a post oak corner, thence N 25 W 
18 chains to a hickory corner and thence down Heards Mill Creek to the 
beginning.  To have and to hold the said land with half the mill.
Registered 8th December 1795
