Witness that the said William Ellis & Frances his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds sterling to him in hand paid by the said John Allison the receipt whereof he the said William Ellis doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presence doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John Allison all that tract or parcel land situate lying and being on the waters of Beaver Dam in the county of Wilkes State of Georgia aforesaid specified in two grants, as will more fully appear reference thereunto being said one of which contains four hundred acres more or less as will appear by plat of survey registered in secretarys office FFF folio 205 and bounded in the following manner east by land of Sambeth Hopkins. North east by lands of Walton Harris North west by Robert Harris land and land vacant and south west by Jonathan Ragans & Williamsons land the other tract containing thirty acres as will appear by plat and survey registered in surveyors office book 222 folio 109 beginning at a pine in the line of the above four hundred acre tract thence north west eighteen chains to a hickory, thence south thirty five west eighteen chains to a pine , thence south east fourteen chains to a post oak , thence North east sixteen chains to the beginning to have and to hold the said tract of four hundred and thirty acres of land to him the said John Allison his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said John Allison his heirs and assigns forever together with all ways woods fences orchards, houses buildings water courses profits commodities heraditament’s and appurtenances whatsoever to the said four hundred and thirty acres of land belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said William Ellis and Frances his wife the within mentioned premises doth warrant and will forever defend unto the said John Allison his heirs & assigns the aforesaid said tract of land against the claim of all and every person and persons whatsoever in witness whereof the said William Ellis and Frances his wife have hereunto set their hand and seals the day and year above written William X Ellis Acknowledged before me William Terrell JP Frances X Ellis Received April the 30th 1790 of John Allison the above mentioned sum of Three hundred Pounds Sterling in full William X Ellis Witness present William Terrell JP Registered the 28th Jun 1790 at Wilkes Co Deed Book GG page 40 Ga.
