Wilkes County Deed Book HH, pages 372 – 373

This Indenture Made this twenty seventh day of January one thousand seven 
hundred and ninety two Between William Leverett and Briggett his wife of the 
County of Wilkes & State of Georgia of the one part and Edward Butler of the 
County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William 
Leverett and Briggett his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of One 
hundred & fifty pounds Sterling in Specie them in hand paid before the sealing 
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge & 
therewith fully satisfied have given granted & by these presents do give grant 
bargain sell and deliver & Confirm to the said Edward Butler his heirs 
executors administrators and assigns forever a Certain Tract or parcel of land 
in the said County of Wilkes on the waters of Beaverdam Creek Containing, three 
hundred and forty four acres and bounded by the lands of Casey Asque, Thomas 
Ferrell, Jno. C___field & the said Butler & (as appears by a Grant assigned by 
his honor the Governor in Council the 24th day of January 1787 to the said 
William Leverett Together with all and Singular the advantages attending to, 
and belonging to the said land also all the Estate right title interest Claim 
and demand of them the said William Leverett and Briggett his wife or heirs or 
any other person or into or out of the same ____ to the said Edward Butler and 
his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever in fee simple Together 
with all and Singular the rights members & appurtenances of every kind 
whatsoever hereto belonging and Will warrant and defend In Witness whereof they 
have hereunto set their hands and seals the year and day above written ~
