Wilkes County Deed Book HH, pages 10 – 11

This Indenture Made this twenty fifth day of January in the year of Our Lord 
One thousand seven hundred and ninty Between William Leverett and Briget 
Leverett his wife of the county of Wilkes and State of Georgia on the one part 
and Robert Leverett of the State and County aforesaid on the other part 
Witnesseth that the said William Leverett and Briget Leverett his wife for and 
in Consideration of the sum of Two hundred pounds Sterling the receipt where of 
the said William Leverett and Bridget Leverett his wife his wife doth hereby 
acknowledge Have granted Bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and 
Confirmed and by these presents do Bargain grant sell alien enfeoff release and 
Confirm unto the said Robert Leverett his Heirs and assigns forever All that 
Tract or parcel of land Containing Two hundred acres Situate lying and Being in 
the County and State aforesaid and Butting Northeasterly by Samuel Cochrans 
land Northwestwardly by Benjamin Baldwins Land Southwestwardly by said Baldwins 
Land Southeastwardly by Jeremiah Baileys Land and Little river having such form 
and Marks as appears by a platt of the same annexed to a grant to the said 
William Leverett Signed By his honor the governor in Council the twelfth day of 
February one thousand Seven hundred and eighty five – Together with all and 
singular the Rights Members and appurtenances thereof with all and singular the 
Rights Members and appurtenances thereof Whatsoever to the said Tract or parcel 
of land belonging or in anywise appertaining and also all the Estate Right 
Title interest Claim and demand of the said William Leverett and Bridget 
Leverett his wife of in to or out of the same To have and To Hold the said 
Tract or parcel of land and all and singular the premises aforesaid with all 
and every of their Rights Members and appurtenances unto the said Robert 
Leverett his heirs or assigns to his and their own proper use and behoof 
forever in fee simple In Witness whereof the said William Leverett and Bridget 
Leverett his have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first 
above written.
