Know all men by these Presents that I William Huckabay of the State of Georgia 
and County of Wilkes, Have Assigned, Ordained and Made in my Place & Stead and 
by these presents do put & Constitute my Friend James Huckabay of the State of 
North Carolina & Franklin County to be my True and Lawfull attorney for me and 
in my name to ask, sue for Leavy, require and Receive of all and every Person 
& Persons Whatsoever, all & every debt & Rents & Sums of Money as are now due 
to me by any ways or Means Whatever but more Especially to make ???? Search, 
Sue for Recover sell and Convey two Hundred Acres of land to which I am Heir 
at Law too Lying in the County [missing] George or Dunwide, Granting unto my 
said Attorney [missing] power Strength and Authority in and about the sd. 
Premises aforesaid to all Intents, Constitution and Purposes as I myself would 
or Could doe were I there Presents Ratifying and allowing & Houlding firm and 
Stable all & Whatsoever my said Attorney shall Lawfully do in and aboute the 
Execution of [missing] Premises by Virtue of these Presents.  In Witness 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 18th day of Nov 1789.
