Indenture bet Garrett Oglesby & William Baird 24 ? 1832 Wilkes Co, GA

WILKES COUNTY, GEORGIA, DEED BOOK MMM, p. 223

This indenture made this twenty-fourth day of ______ eighteen hundred
and thirty-two between Garrett Oglesby, Senior, of the State and County
aforesaid of the one part and William Baird, Senior, of the other.

Witnesseth that the said Garrett Oglesby, Senior, for and in
consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid
at and before the signing and delivery of these presents, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained and sold and, by
these presents, do grant, bargain and sell unto the said William Baird,
Senior, his heirs, executors and administrators, all that tract or
parcel of land lying in the State and County aforesaid lying on the
waters of Pistol Creek on the north side of the Greensboro Road
beginning at said road near a post oak corner running thence to said
corner;  thence, N30W, 21 chains, 10 links to a stake corner;  thence,
S85W, 62 chains to a stake;  running thence, S8E, 42 chains to a post
oak;  running thence, S37E, (to) Greensboro Road;  thence, down said
road to the beginning corner, the said tract or parcel of land
containing two hundred and twenty acres, more or less.

To have and to hold the said bargained premises together with all and
singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging.  And the said Garret
Oglesby, Senior, for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and
assigns, the said tract or parcel of land, together with all its
rights, members and appurtenances, will warrant and defend against the
claim or claims of all persons whatsoever.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and
year above written.
