Witnesseth that the said Garrett Oglesby, Senr., for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars lawful money of said state to Garrett Oglesby in hand well and truly paid by the said Benjamin Dunnaway at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, and confirmed unto the said Benjamin Dunnaway, his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the state and county aforesaid on the waters of Newford Creek adjoining lands belonging to Joseph BurRs and others and bounded as follows. Beginning at a pine corner N83E along Wm. Gill’s line 67 chains to a pine; thence 56W, 29 to a dogwood; thence W, 43 chs. to W. oak; thence N47W, 30.50 to the beginning, containing one hundred and forty—two acres more or less. Together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of land being, belonging, or in any wise appurtaining and the remainder reversions unto _____ and profits thereof and of every part thereof, to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Benjamin Dunnaway, his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use, benefit, and behoof of the said Benjamin Dunnaway, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Garrett Oglesby and his heirs the tract of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Benjamin Dunnaway, his heirs and assigns, against the claim of Garrett Oglesby and his heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said Garrett Oglesby hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written. Sealed and delivered Garrett Oglesby, Senr.
