Between Randolph Ramsey and Mary Ramsey his wife of Columbia and State aforesaid of the one part and Radford Ellis of Wilkes County and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said Randolph Ramsey and Mary Ramsey his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds sterling Lawfull money of the sd State to him in hand well and truly to be paid by the said Radford Ellis at or before the Sealing and Delivery of the presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath Granted Bargained Sold Released and Confirmed and by these presence doth Grant Bargain Sell Release and Confirm unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns all that tract of land containing three hundred acres more or less being and Lying in the County of Wilkes and State aforesaid and on the waters of Long Creek Beginning and bounded by land belonging to James McNeal, William Ellis, Mathew Varner and Jno.Taver. Beginning at a corner White Oak thence South fifty eight East 38.71 to a Black Jack at a corner thence North 252 East 77 chains 42 links to a corner stake thence North 58 west 38.7 to a corner pine thence South 32 west 77.42 links along to the beginning, Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said tract of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining and the remainders reversions rents issues and profits thereof & of every part thereof to have and to hold the said tract of land and all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereunto Belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and benefit and behoof of the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns forever and the said Randolph Ramsey and Mary Ramsey his wife and their heirs the tract of land and premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Radford Ellis and his heirs and assigns against them the said Randolph Ramsey and his heirs and all and every other person or persons Whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
