to Camille DuBose Colley, daughter of General Dudley McIver DuBose and wife of 
Henry Owens Colley, 2 January 1888.

State of Georgia}
Wilkes County} This Indenture made this 2nd day of January eighteen hundred 
and eighty eight between M.M. Sims of one part and Camille D. Colley of the 
other part. Witnesseth that the said M.M. Sims for and in consideration of the 
sum of thirty five hundred dollars cash in paid, the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hat bargained and sold. . . and forever quit claim to the said 
Camille D. Colley her heirs and assigns, all right, title, interest, claim on 
demand, the said M.M. Sims has or may have had in and to all that tract of 
land lying in said county 8 miles west of Washington, Georgia on the 
Crawfordville Road containing 1428 acres, bounded by lands of Slaton, Moses 
Dardin & by Little river, with all the rights members and appurtenances to 
said tract of land. . . to the said Camille D. Colley & her heirs and assigns 
to that neither the said M.M. Sims nor his heirs nor any other person or 
persons claiming under him shall at any time hereafter by any way or means, 
have, obtain, or demand any right title or interest in or to the aforesaid 
land or its appurtenances or any part thereof. In Witness whereof the said 
M.M. Sims has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, the day and year 
above written.
