Dyson Written: November 2, 1869 Recorded: June 21, 1877 Deed Book 57 Page 533-534 50 acres State of Georgia Wilkes County This Indenture made this the Second day of November in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred & Sixty nine Between James M Dyson Sheriff of the County aforesaid of the one part and John L Anderson of the Same place of the other part Witnesseth that whereas the Said James M Dyson Sheff. as aforesaid did lately Seize and levy upon a certain tract or parcel of Land situated lying and being in the County aforesaid adjoining lands of Mrs. John H Wallace & RH Truitt and being the land set apart to Mrs. Phebe Stinson as a Homestead and particularly described in a plat of Said land hereto annexed containing fifty acres more or less; as the property of Phebe Stinson, by Virtue of a writ of fiery facias issued from the Supr. Court of Wilkes County in favor of Nicholas Taliaferro against Phebe Stinson and Richard T Watton; and after publicly advertising said tract or parcel of land, aimably to law, did put up & Expose the same to Sale at public Outcry – on the 1st Tuesday in November instant, at the door of the Court House at Washington in said County, within the legal hours of Sale, when said tract or parcel of land was knocked off to said John L Anderson at and for the Sum of four Hundred and ninity (sic) five Dollars, he being the highest and best bidder. Now for and in Consideration of the Sum of four hundred & ninety five Dollars in hand paid to him the said James M Dyson Sheriff as aforesaid, by him the said John L Anderson at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said James M Dyson Sheff. as aforesaid hath granted, bargained & Sold, & by these presents doth grant bargain & Sell unto him the said John L Anderson his heirs Executors, administrators and assigns all the right, title & interest of the said Phebe Stinson in said tract or parcel of land of which said Phebe Stinson was seized and possessed in and to the same, with all the rights [title is struck through] members & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to his & their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee Simple.
