This Indenture made and entered into this Tenth day of January Eighteen 
hundred and Twenty nine between Susanah Stinson of the County & State of the 
one part and Hopkins W Brewer of the same county & state of the other part. 
Witnesseth that the said Susanah Stinson for and in consideration of the Sum 
of Seventy five Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Brewer the Receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and Sold aliened and 
conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain & Sell alien and convey unto 
the said Hopkins W Brewer his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of 
land situate lying and being in the County of Wilkes on the waters of Fishing 
Creek containing Twenty seven acres & butting and bounding as follows viz 
Beginning at a Red Oak thence South forty six degrees Cast Six chains to a 
stake thence North forty five – West forty five chains to a Stake thence South 
forty five West six chains to a Stake thence South forty five East forty five 
chains to the Beginning-the same being atra off tas and Susanah Stinson as one 
of the Desbututers of George Stinson by persons legally appointed for that 
purpose the same being designated as said plantation as lot No. four To have 
and to hold the said tract of Land together with all & singular its 
appurtenances unto the said Hopkins W Brewer his heirs and assigns forever and 
the said Susanah Stinson the aforesaid tract of land with its appurtenances 
unto said Hopkins W Brewer his heirs and assigns against the claim of himself 
his heirs [and is struck through] Executors and administrators and against the 
claim of all and every other person or persons shall & will by these presents 
forever warrant and defend.
   In Witness whereof the said Susanah Stinson hath hereto set her hand and 
Seal the day & year being above first written.
