Thomas http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00016.html#0003785 August 19, 2008, 10:42 pm Lots 1 & 2 Written: March 11, 1834 Recorded: April 25, 1838 Deed Book NNN Page 295-296 54 acres State of Georgia Wilkes County This Indenture made & entered into this Eleventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eighteen hundred and thirty four between William Q Anderson & Nicholas G Barksdale Executors on the Estate of Phebe Stinson dec’d of the one part and Thomas Anderson of the other part Witnesseth that whereas Phebe Stinson Late of Said County and State departed this Life Testate bequeathing a residue of Property not specifically distributed (vez) a part or parcel of Land on the waters of Fishing Creek containing Fifty four acres which upon the application by the Exr’s above said to the honourable Inferior Court of Wilkes County while Sitting for ordinary purposes for Leave to Sell the said did grant said order and Leave for the purpose of Enabling said Exr’s to consummate the Intent of the Testators bequest be heard from the said Exr’s did advertise and Expose to Sale in the Town of Washington on the first Tuesday in January Last part when the said Thomas Anderson became the best and highest bidder (vez) at the Sum of Two hundred and one Dollars. Now for and in consideration of the foregoing Sum of Two hundred one Dollars in hand Paid to the aforesaid William Q Anderson and Nicholas G Barksdale Exr’s as aforesaid by the Said Thomas Anderson the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged they the Said William Q Anderson and Nicholas G Barksdale Exr’s as aforesaid hath granted bargained & Sold & doth by these presents bargain Sell & convey unto the Said Thomas Anderson his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of Land hither to described (vez) so far as the quality a further description of which will be made properly understood by reference to the partition Plat of the Adm’s of George Stinson dec’d comprising Lots No one & two or Lots partitioned to Dudly Stinson & James Boatwright and purchased from them by the Testators be the Same more or less to him & his own proper use benefit and behoof in fee Simple And he the said William Q Anderson and Nicholas G Barksdale Exr’s as aforesaid unto the said Thomas Anderson his heirs and assigns Shall and will warrant and forever defend the title of said bargained land and premises against ourselves as Executors aforesaid & against the claim of all and every other person or persons whatsoever so far as we are authorized and required by Law and no further.
