Thomas http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00016.html#0003785 August 19, 2008, 10:46 pm Written: March 11, 1837 Recorded: April 25, 1838 Deed Book NNN Page 296-297 41 acres State of Georgia Wilkes County This Indenture made and entered into this Eleventh day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty seven Between William Q Anderson and Nicholas G Barksdale administrators on the Estate of Phebe Stinson of the one Part and Thomas Anderson of the other part Witnesseth that whereas the said William Q Anderson and Nicholas B Barksdale Administrators as aforesaid did apply to the honourable the Inferior Court while sitting for ordinary purposes for Leave to Sell Forty one acres of Land the Property of the aforesaid Estate which leave was granted and and ordered Paper Purporting Sale and as Administrators did advertise and Expose to Sale the said Land on the first Tuesday in January Last part in the Town of Washington wherefore Thomas Anderson became the best and highest bidder (vez) at the Sum of one hundred and six Dollars Now for and in consideration of the foregoing Sum of one hundred and six Dollars in hand Paid by the said Thomas Anderson to the said William Q Anderson and Nicholas G Barksdale Administrators aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and Sold and do by these presents grant bargain and Sell and convey unto the said Thomas Anderson his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County aforesaid known generally as the vacant tract having such shape as the annexed plat represents and delenates (viz) Beginning at a red oak corner running S45E12.5° chains to a stake corner thence N45ºE49 chains to the creek Thence alond (sic) the meanders of said Creek to a white oak corner thence S45ºW48.75 chains to the beginning containing Forty one acres more or less to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof in fee Simple And we the said William Q Anderson and Nicholas G Barksdale Administrators as aforesaid unto the said Thomas Anderson his heirs and assigns Shall and will warrant and forever defend the title of said bargained premises against our Selves as administrators and against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever so far as we are authorized and required by law and we farther as Administrators aforesaid Intestimony whereof the said William Q Anderson and Nicholas G Barksdale as Administrators hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and date first within written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of William Q Anderson Adm’r {SS} J.A.
