Between Abner Webster of the county of Wilkes and State of Georgia and Betsy his wife of the one part and William Ellis of the said County and State of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Abner Webster and Betsy his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds specie to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents by the said William Ellis the receipt whereof the said Abner Webster and Betsy his wife doth hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and confirmed and by there presents do fully grant bargain sell and conferm unto the said William Ellis his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the State and County aforesaid. Containing two hundred and thirty five and one fifth acres, on Varners Branch, beginning on corner Hickory , Thence south 58 o East forty eight chains on Mathew Varners line to corner Black Oak thence North 36 o East forty nine chains on Randolph Ramseys line to corner post Oak thence 58 o West forty eight chains on George Varners line to corner Black Oak Hickory thence S32 W. 49 chains to the beginning and surveyed the 8th day of August 1791 by William Graves, together with all and singular the rites members and appurtenances thereof and also the estate right title interest claim and demand of their the said Abner Webster and Betsy his wife their heirs executors adm--- and assigns or any other Person or Persons whatsoever claiming any rite or title off unto or out off the same.To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of land with all the appurtenances there of unto the said William Ellis his heirs executors adm rs and assigns to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. In Witnesseth whereof the said Abner Webster and Betsy his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and date first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered In presence of Abner Webster D.
