Witnesseth that the said Richard Whatley for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred pounds Sterling money to him in hand paid by the said William Huckabay at or before the sealing and delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained & Sold and by these presents do grant bargain & Sell alien enfeoff and Confirm unto the said William Huckabay his heirs & assigns forever One Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Wilkes Containing by estimation Two hundred & fifty acres be the same More or Less on Long Creek and bound by Vacant Land on every side -- Begining at a corner Black gum thence South five East to a Hiccory thence South eighty five West to a pine thence North five West to to A Hickory thence to the Begining. To have and to hold the said Land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said William Huckabay his heirs and assigns forever in absolute and indefeasable Fee Simple and the said Richard Whatley on his part the said Land above Conveyed and every Part and Parcel thereof to Him the said William Huckabay his heirs and assigns forever against him the said Richard Whatley and his heirs and against all and every other Person & Persons whatsoever Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these Presents. In Witness whereof the said Richard Whatly have hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day & year Above Written.
