Additional Comments: Addendum: [Not included in source cited]: Biographical Notations: William Hudgens; William Hudgens and his wife, Martha, had thirteen children born to this marriage. William Hudgens moved to the Upson County, Georgia, area in the late 1820's. His application for military pension is located on file in the Supreme Court minutes, inclusive of his deposition at a hearing held in Upson County, March 18, 1831. He was subsequently awarded pension 5322 for his military service in the North Carolina Continental Line. In 1831, during the testimony taken at the Upson County, Georgia courthouse, William testified that of his thirteen children, eight were living as of that date [1831], and further states, in 1831, he and his wife were living by themselves.
