T. Bufford passed away in his 79th year. "Bud" Bufford, as his intimate friends knew him, was born and spent his whole life in Wilkes County, except the 3 years of service that he gave to the Confederacy as a member of Hampton's Cavalry, from 1862 until Lee's surrender in 1865. About fifty-five years ago Mr. Bufford married Miss Mollie Snelson and to that union two daughters and seven sons were born, all of whom and their mother survive the father. They are: Misses Bettie Van and Annie Bufford, Messrs. T. W., Burwell, Frank D., W. D., Sam W., Talley and Guy W. Bufford. The interment was at Tabor church on Tuesday morning.
