"ANOTHER REV SOLDIER GONE"

" Died at his residence, in Wilkes County, on Friday, the 15th of November,
1844, after a protracted affliction, Lawrence Bankston, in the 90th year
of his age.

As to the religious views of the deceased, or his prospects for the future,
we can say nothing -- we commit him to that Judge who will do right. As a 
husband and a parent, he was ever kind and affectionate -- as a master,
humane and indulgent. He died, as he had lived, in the affection of all who
