DEATH’S SAD ROLL
     Hon. HENRY J. HILL, a wealthy planter of Wilkes County, met with a fatal 
accident on his farm Thursday. His arm was caught in a heavy machine and torn 
from his body, causing his death in ten hours. We were in the legislature with 
Col. HILL in ‘86 and ‘87 where we learned to love him, for he was a true and 
noble man. His many friends all over the state will mourn in sorrow his tragic 
death. Peace to the memory of our friend, and rest to his soul.
