It is found in Plat Book B, page 159. It was surveyed by a warrant issued by the Land Court of Wilkes County on October 10, 1784, presided over by Stephen Heard Esq., Senior Justice. The warrant was executed on October 19, 1784 by Robert Christmas D.S., "in lieu of old warrants." The grant of 750 acres was issued to James Scarlet on January 19, 1785 by Governor Samuel Elbert and it was registered on January 20, 1785. (Grant Book FFF, page 439) As before it shows Little River and William Foster along the western boundary, Edward Black and now James Davis along the northern boundary, Ambrose Crawford along the eastern side, and James Crawford and Hunt’s land along the south.
