Colley duly constituted Executrix of the Estate both real and personal of H.F Colley late of Wilkes County deceased, by virtue of an order of the court for _?_ County, granted at the regular September Term Eighteen hundred and Seventy Seven _?_ notice of application for said order having been previously published in terms of the law, after advertising the same for sale in terms of the law did on the first Tuesday in Eighteen hundred & Eighty Seven _?_ the legal hours _?_ put up and expose for sale at public outcry before the Court House door in Washington in the County of Wilkes the Real Estate hereinafter described, when the same was knocked off to F.H. Colley of the county of Wilkes being the highest and best bidder at the price of Eighteen Hundred Dollars. Now in consideration of the sum of eighteen Hundred Dollars cash in hand paid by the said F.H. Colley the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, I the said I.M. Colley as Executrix as aforesaid have granted, bargained and sold and do by these presents grant, bargain and sell (so far as the office of Executrix authorized me, unto the said F.H. Colley the following described Real Estate, to wit: All that tract comprising the Western part of the River Place belonging to said H.F. Colley’s Estate lying & situated in said county bounded by lands of Woodruff, Colley & others on the west & bounded on the east by a line run North & South so as to included one hundred & eight acres. To have and to hold the same together with all rights members and appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said F.H. Colley his heirs and assigns forever, in as full and ample a manner as the same was seized possessed & enjoyed by the said H.F. Colley at the time of his death. In Witness whereof, I the said I.M. Colley as Executrix as aforesaid have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 29 Day of December Eighteen hundred and Seventy Nine. I.M. Colley of the county of Wilkes of the one part and J.M. Woods of the county of Wilkes of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Isabella M. Colley for and in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. . . unto said J.M. Woods. . . all that tract or parcel of land lying in said county in the northern part of said Town of Washington with the public road to the South and Ease and lands of Anderson and Andrews to the North & West containing twenty four acres more or less. . . [John Dempsey] Colley Recorded Oct 28 1880 ~~~~~ State of Georgia Wilkes County} This Indenture made this thirty first day of May in the year of Our Lord One thousand and Eight hundred and Eighty between Frank H. Colley of the County & State aforesaid of the first part and Dudley M. Dubose of the County of Wilkes and State Aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Frank H. Colley for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars, Cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold, and doth by these presents release and forever quit claim to the Said Dudley M. DuBose his heirs and assigns all the right, title, interest, claim or demand, the said Frank H. Colley has or may have had in and to an undivided two thirds interest in the following described tract of land, to wit: A certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the County of Wilkes and State of Georgia and upon the Public Road leading from the town of Washington by & through Jackson’s Cross Roads to Lincolnton in the County of Lincoln & State aforesaid, and also upon Eastern Side of the Public Road leading from said Jackson’s Cross Road to the City of Augusta, Georgia, and bounded by lands of Mrs. Gullatt, Wolfe, Candler and others and being the same tract of land conveyed to said D.M. Dubose and Frank H. Colley by Mrs. Naomi Hughey by Deed bearing date the [blank] day of [blank] A.D. Eighteen hundred & Eighty & containing One thousand and fifty seven acres more or less, Said Colley buying one third and said Dubose two thirds of said tract of land, with all the rights, members and appurtenances to said tract or parcel of land in anywise appertaining or belonging; To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land to the said Dudley M. DuBose, so that neither the said Frank H. Colley nor his heirs, nor any other person or persons claiming. . . shall at any time by any ways or means, lease, claims or demands, or any sight or title to the aforesaid tract or parcel of land or its appurtenances or any right thereof. Shilverton(?), Jr., NP Recorded August 23d 1881 ~~~~~ Georgia Wilkes County} Know all men by these presents as _?_ under an order passed by the Judge of the Superior Court said County on Aug 23 1881 thereto appended, I have bargained sold & conveyed unto Mrs. I.M. Colley her heirs & assigns for & in consideration of the sum of Seventeen hundred & twenty six 64/100 dollars all that tract of land lying & situated in said County aforesaid lands of Andrews, Barnett & Owens on the French Mills Road & containing five hundred fifteen 88/100 acres more or less, being the same given to Mrs. Kate T. Colley & her children by her father Gabriel Toombs, to the amount of two hundred & three acres & the full land given to her by the said F.H. Colley, and I hereby agree to hold the said property to the said Mrs. I.M. Colley her heirs and assigns against all parties whomsoever. Colley duly constituted Executrix of the estate both real and personal of H.F. Colley, late of said county deceased, by virtue of an order of the Court of Ordinary for said County of Wilkes granted at the regular September Term, Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Seven of said Court (Notice of application for said order having been previously published in terms of the law), did on the first Tuesday in February Eighteen Hundred and eighty One. . . put up and expose for sale at public outcry before Court House door at Washington in the County of Wilkes the real estate hereinafter described, when the same was knocked off to F.H. Colley of the County of Wilkes, being the highest and best bidder at the price of Forty four hundred Dollars. Now, for and in consideration of the said sum of Forty four hundred Dollars, cash in hand paid by the said F.H. Colley, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged & the said I.M. Colley Executrix as aforesaid, have granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell (so far as the office of Executrix authorized me) unto the said F.H. Colley the following described real estate, to wit: All that tract or parcel of land lying & situated in said county bounded by the waters of Little river, lands of Moore, Hill, Adams and said F.H. Colley and containing by estimation, Six hundred acres more or less, being sold by the tract and not by the acre. To have and to hold the same together with all the rights members and appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said F.H. Colley, his heirs & assigns forever as full and ample a manner as the same was seized, possessed and enjoyed by the said H.F. Colley at the time of his death. In witness whereof, I the said Isabella M. Colley as Executrix as aforesaid have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 23rd day of August eighteen hundred and eighty one. Isabella M. Colley of the County of Wilkes of the one part and Mrs. Kate T. Colley her children now living and to be born of the County of Wilkes of the other part. Witnesseth that the said F.H. Colley for and in consideration of the sum of seventeen hundred & twenty six 64/100 dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery these presents to receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey & confirm unto the said parties of the second part their heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying in and being on the waters of Little River bounded by lands of Jordan Kendrick & others, being the eastern part of the tract owned by said F.H. Colley on Little River with the Eastern Boundary _?_ said F.H. Colley _?_ so as to take in, contain the area of Two hundred fifty acres the Gin House [Cotton Gin] & dwelling house & improvements thereto attached in this tract herein conveyed, This being a reinvestment of the proceeds of a sale of a tract of land lying north of Washington, GA, to Mrs. I.M. Colley by said F.H. Colley as trustee for parties of the second part, to have and to hold the said bargained premises with all and singular the rights, members, appurtenances thereunto appertaining & the only proper use benefit and behoof _?_ to the parties of second part _?_ in fee simple and the said F.H. Colley the said bargained property unto the said parties of the second part their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against the said F.H. Colley. . . and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said F.H.
