I William Hudspeth of the county of Wilkes and state of Georgia being far advanced in years but of sound mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same and calling to mind the uncertainty of Life do make and Ordain this my last will & Testament in manner and form following And first of all I commend my soul to God trusting that through his infir mercy and Goodness and the blessings of my offering Redeemer Enterceding for me at the throne of grace I shall receive Everlasting life and Salvation My body I request to be decently Entered at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named as Touchy My worldly Estate I dispose of in the following manner First my will and desire is that there be no division of my Estate until my Just debts are all paid - Item I lend to my wife Mary Hudspeth during her natural life the plantation whereon I now live including three Hundred acres of Land & five Slaves Viz Stephen, Andrew, Iam, Sam and Grace and also all my stock and Household and Kitchen Furniture Except what may herein after be disposed on Otherwise Item I give and bequeath to my son Robert Hudspeth one negro woman named Grace after the decease of my Wife and One Negro woman named Phoe also a Bond for sixty five Pounds given by Stephen Lyons now in his possession to collect Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Lawrence two Slaves Viz Stephen & Pink Stephen to be taken at the death of my wife & Pinkakry decease Item I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Hudspeth two Hundred acres of Land Joining Joel Appling also Two Negroes Jacob & Milly and one Negro called Andrew after my wifes decease Item I give and bequeath to my son George Hudspeth two negroes Isaac and Veodel also one negro called Sam after the decease of my wife Item I give and bequeath to my son Richard Hudspeth Four negroes Viz One man called Brink one boy called Napier one girl called Rose and one other Called Lilly also Three Hundred acres of Land lent to my Wife also one negro boy called Iam after the decease of my Wife Item I give and bequeath to my Grand-daughter Tabitha Lawrence One negro Girl named Maca & One feather Bed and Furniture Item I give and bequeath to my Grandson George Lawrence One negro Boy named Lewis ___ Item It is also my will and desire that after the decease of my Wife that all the residue of my House hold & Kitchen furniture and also all my stock of what Kinsoever be Equally divided among all my children Viz Robert Hudspeth Mary Lawrence George Hudspeth Thomas Hudspeth & Tichard Hudspeth Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my friends John Hanson & Thomas Terrell __ & my son George Hudspeth my ___ and Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do Hereby revoke all former Wills herefore made my me In witness whereof I have hereunto set my seal this 13th day August A.D. 1802 Signed Sealed Published and declared by the Testator Wm Hudspeth (Seal) as his last will and Testament In the presence of us David Kern M.
