Do make and ordain this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore made. Item 1st. It is my desire that the younger children (which are at present with me) each receive two negroes from the ages of ten to twelve years for one of them and twenty to twenty five years of age for the other. One cow and calf, one horse and saddle and one bed and furniture upon arriving at the age of twenty one or marring. Item 2nd. At the expiration of fifteen years it is my wish and desire that an equal distribution take place between my wife and all of my children of the residue of all my property I leave on hand as well as what other improvements may accrue in any manner except so far as regards my household and kitchen furniture which I wish my wife to have over and above and equal share with my children in every thing else to share and share alike. Item 3rd. It is my further wish and desire that my property be kept together and worked upon the plantation for the general benefit of the concern for the time of fifteen years as aforesaid under the superintendand of whoever may become my administrator. Item 4th. It is my desire further that whatever profits may anually arise after supporting the family I want laid out in land or negroes for the general benefit of the concern. Item 5. I further wish whoever may manage the estate I leave shall have full power to furnish any and every necesary article or articles to which may be required for the rise of the family and plantation such as horses or mules, pork or any other thing or things which may be thought by the parties or the official manager of the estate to be necessary. Item 6th. I further wish it particularly understood that in the forgoing conveyance I mean to include my real as well as any personal estate. Item 7. It is my further wish and desire that in case of the death or intermarriage of my wife before the expiration of the fifteen years referred to in item 2nd that my estate be immediately or as soon as practicable brought to a close and an equal division taken place between all of my children to share and share alike. James Pullen Signed, sealed and declared and published by the above named James Pullen to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses in presence of testator. Owens two of the subscribing witnesses to the will who being duly sworn say that they signed the same as witnesses in the presence of James Pullen the testator at his request. Which instrument he acknowledged to be his last will & testament that at the time he was of sound and disposing mind and memory. that John W.
