Know all men by these presents that I formerly Allie C Durham 


Allie C Sherrer of the said state and county for divers good causes} 
and considerations I'm hereunto moving, have made, ordained and appointed 
and by these presents do make ordain and appoint W. I. Sherrer of said 
state and county, my true and lawful attorney, for me, and in my name and 
for my own proper use and benefit to collect receive and receipt 
therefore any money or property or other legacies coming 
to and will to me by William Sherrer Dec'd of Wilkes County Georgia and 
to collect receive and to receipt for any money property or other 
legacies coming to me from the estate of Hecter I. Sherrer of the county 
of Wilkes and State of Georgia. 

And to have use and take all lawful ways and means in my name or other 
wise that may be found necessary or proper in the execution of this power 
________ ________ ________ ________ ______ _______ _____
(Note, due to poor copy procedure the preceding words were not captured. 
However the meaning remains the same.) Could do were I personally present 
at the doing thereof. Ratifying and confirming and by these presents 
allowing whatsoever my said attorney shall in my name lawfully do or 
cause to be done in and about the finances by virtue of these presents.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 
the 14 day of November A. D. 1877.

Transcriber's notes.

1. It appears that James Joines, the Husband of Sarah W. Sherrer Joines 
was first named in this document and then his name was scratched through 
and William Iverson's put in his place.

2. Even though the transcriber of the document used Allie as the given 
name for Ella, Ella's signature is clear and indisputable at the end of 
the document.
