I, Thomas Wingfield of the State of Georgia and County of Wilkes, being in a low state of health but sound in mind do make this my last will and testament in form following My will desire is that my land should be divided into three equal parts and that John Foster and Peter B. Terrell be requested to divide the same. Beginning of one, the river running right back to the backline in squares as near as may be to give each his proportion. Item I give to my son, Sam the lot up river. Item I give to my beloved wife the middle or second lot whereon my house now stands during her life. After her decease I give to my son Charles Wingfield Item I give to my son Thomas Wingfield the third or lower lot. Item I give to my son Sam Wingfield one Negro boy by the name of David and one Negro girl by the name of Indey with her increase together with a bed of furniture. Item I give to my daughter Molly Wingfield a Negro woman named Milly with all her increase, Lily, Tempey, Rodie together with a bed of furniture and Sixty Dollars Cash. Item I give to my son Thomas one Negro boy by the name of Thornton and a girl by the name of Iwincy with her increase. Likewise one Sorrell horse 2 to 3 years old together with a bed of furniture. Item I give to my son John Wingfield three Negro boys James, Edmund and Abram and two Negro girls Ealey and Nancy with their increase together with a bed of furniture and Sixty Dollars Cash. Item I give to my son Charles Wingfield two Negro boys Emanuel and Davey, one Negro girl Martha with her increase together with a bed of furniture and Sixty Dollars Cash. Item I give to my daughter Fanny Wingfield a Negro woman named Phillis with her child by the name of Kizey with her future increase together with a bed of furniture and Sixty Dollars Cash. Item I give to my beloved wife the following Negroes ? Charles, Joe, Nat, Pahinee, Venus, Suck, Lilvey, Mary with all the stock of furniture except what has been willed away during her life and at her death to be equally divided among all my children and it is my desire the whole of my estate should be kept together while my children marry or become of age and then the lots of Negroes be given out as above directed. I appoint my sons Sam Wingfield and Thomas Wingfield as my executors to this my last will and Testament. Likewise Edward Butler, Garland and John Wingfield my three friends executors with my sons.
