Beale, JJC M. Etheridge, JJC L. U. Robinson, JJC J. Peacock, JJC It is ordered and adjudged by the Court that Milly Pearce be hereby appointed Guardian for the orphans of Daniel S. Pearce, Deceased, late of Wilkinson County, for Martha, Caroline, William, Henry, John Silas and Wingfield Scott, upon her given bond security in the sum of Three Thousand Dollars that ?? Hatcher be received and admitted as her security. It is ordered by this Court that William F. Boon, son of Daniel S. Pearce, Deceased, have leave to sell the lands belonging to said Estate, he having given legal notice of his intention. (Note: The Rev. William F. Boon was the son-in-law of Daniel Pierce; having married Malissa Pierce, the daughter of Daniel and MIlly Ann Pierce. Malissa Pierce died at an early, but unknown date. After her death William F. Boon remarried Rebecca Meredith Cooper. The Boon family moved to Louisiana circa 1860.) Recorded from the original document in the Wilkinson County Courthouse, Irwinton, Georgia, by Miriam M. Brown. Daniel S. and Milly Ann Pierce were the parents of Martha Pierce Langford, wife of James Langford. The Pierces' had seven children. They married into the Boone family, the Langford family, the Etheridge family, and the Honeycutt family. Daniel S. Pierce/Pearce died in May of 1837. The documents are the sale of his personal estate on May 4, 1837.
