Land Deed dated Sep 3, 1864 page 756 Book B,Wilkinson Co State of Georgia, this Adventure made this the 3rd day of September in Wilkinson County and year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four and in the year of the Independence of the Confederate States of America between William Chambers of the County of Wilkinson of the one part and John D. Hicks of the County of Wilkinson of the other part witnesseth that the same William Chambers for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these from the receipt where is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained so?? aliened conveyed and confirmed and doth by these presents grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said John D. Hicks his heirs and aligns all the right title and interest which the said William Chambers has and owns in and of the lands be longing to the estate of his deceased mother Rebecca Garrett and to which the said William Chambers is and was entitled as heirs at law of his deceased mother as aforesaid being the one fifth interest in the following land to wit lands formly owned by William Garret t formerly of said County now deceased and known and distinguished in the division of his estate as follows one hundred and sixty seven and one half acres of Lot known as the Creek Lot and six acres known as the Depot Lot all in the (3rd) third District of said county lying near the Station fifteen 15 of Georgia Cen??? Railroad to have an d to hold the said one fifth interest in said land with all and singular the rights members and affurtenances thereto belonging to the only proper use benefit and behalf of him said John D. Hicks his heirs e ecutors administrators and assigns in simpler, and the said William Chambers the said bargained only interest in said land for himself hi s heirs executors and administrators and assigns against him the sai d William Chambers his heirs executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons ??? and will warrant and fore ver defend by virture of these presents in witnesseth whereof the said William Chambers hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal an d delivered these presents the day and year above written.
