M. Cannon, 79 of Winter Garden, Fla., passed away Thursday in an Orlando, Florida hospital, after an illness of some time. Mrs. Cannon was the former Miss Polly Anne Pozier and was a lifelong resident of Wilkinson and Laurens County before moving to Florida ten years ago. Deceased was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and leaves many friends and relatives in Wilkinson and Laurens County. She is survived by her husband; four sons, Nanthan Cannon, Danville Route 2, and C. O., John, and Sam Cannon of Winter Garden; three daughters, Mrs. C. L. Brack, Macon, Mrs. Addie Cooper, Orlando, and Mrs. A. L. Thomas, Chester; 41 grandchildren, 63 great- grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Wilkinson County at 2:30 Sunday with Townsend Brothers Funeral Home officiating. Additional Comments: Polly Anne was born 6 Apr 1875. Her husband was John Madison Cannon who is also buried in Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
