Mr. Dennard and his family had lived in Red Bank since 1957, when they moved from Daisy, Tenn. He retired in 1979 after 40 years with Southern Railway. Survivors include his wife, Louise Dennard; son, Tommy Dennard, Dowington, PA; two daughters, Elsie Moon, Chattanooga, and Terrie Johnson, Kansas City, KAn; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Red Bank Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North. (Note: Benton Atticus Dennard was the son of William Chandler Dennard and Alice Johnson Dennard. He was born in Wilkinson County, GA but lived most of his adult life in Tennessee. He is buried in Chattanooga, Tennessee.)
